Green boxes containing six to eight green cards with pictures representing words with a phonogram pattern. Apart from the phonogram, the letters in the words represent common speech sounds.<br />Each box contains six to eight corresponding reading cards. On the box lid is written the phonogram pattern.
<h3>Preparation</h3>
Words to be selected from the Morris - Montessori Word List - Blue/Green Level.<br /><br />This is an individual presentation to be carried out with the child on the table on a table mat. (Note: full work cycle to be observed)
<h3>Presentation</h3>
<ol><li>The Directress introduces one phonogram at a time. She shows the child the letter pattern on the lid, e.g. "ch" and teaches the sound. Directress then opens the green box, places the lid underneath the box on the mat.</li><li>The Directress then takes out the picture cards and lay them out on the mat, 3 in a row, naming them at the same time.</li><li>The Directress then takes the stack of word cards, places it in front of the child to read each word card, reminding them the new letter pattern and the sound it represents, and place it under the respective picture cards.</li></ol>

The reading cards match the pictures and mismatch may reveal an error.
