  • Sand Paper Letters.
  • Cornmeal.
  • A tray.

Preparation

This is an individual presentation.

Presentation

  1. Invite the child to a table.
  2. Choose a few letters that the child has been previously introduced to.
  3. Position the letters on a table beside the cornmeal tray.
  4. Demonstrate to the child how she can trace the letter in the cornmeal by using the primary finger on her dominant hand.
  5. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the letters.
