- Simple commands using Level 1 words printed on cards.
Preparation
Presentation
- Choose a card (ie. "Sit and tap")
- Read the command and act it out.
Control Of Error
The directress.
Points Of Interest
This is the first exercise using reading comprehension. The child will be able to read commands without "sounding out" each word since he has worked with reading cards and flash cards.
Note: Prior to this, child must have a "Three Period Lesson" on the words "a" and "the".
Purpose
- To reinforce and review reading of phonetic words.
Variation
Child writes out simple command for another child.
