- A large tray.
- 3 pairs of children's socks (different colors) rolled into a ball.
Preparation
Individual or group presentation.
Presentation
- Introduce the activity to the children.
- Pick up a roll of socks from the tray and open the ball with two thumbs pulling outwards.
- Slowly unroll the socks toward you.
- Place one sock over the other. Toe end should face the child.
- Slowly roll the socks starting from the toe end.
- Stretch the end of the outer sock over the whole roll to form a ball.
- Ask the child to repeat the activity.
- Remind the child to return the activity to the shelf when he is finished.
