Preparation

This can be done as a group presentation in a cooking session.
Get the children to put on an apron. Remind them to wash and dry their hands.

Presentation

Show the children the recipe that you intend to make, for e.g. 'gingerbread man' and explain to them the various steps involved such as:

  • Weighing
  • Measuring.
  • Sieving.
  • Whisking and mixing.
  • Rolling and cutting pastry.
